Romans Chapter 1

Rom 1:1 PAUL, a servant of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, set apart unto the gospel of God,
Rom 1:2 which he before announced through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures,
Rom 1:3 concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,
Rom 1:4 who was declared to be the Son of God with power according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord;
Rom 1:5 through whom we received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all the nations, for his name's sake;
Rom 1:6 among whom are ye also, called of Jesus Christ;
Rom 1:7 to all the beloved of God that are in Rome, called to be saints: Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Rom 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of in all the world.
Rom 1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
Rom 1:10 making request, if haply now at length I may be prospered by the will of God to come to you.
Rom 1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
Rom 1:12 that is, to be comforted together among you, by each other's faith, both yours and mine.
Rom 1:13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that often-times I purposed to come to you (but was hindered hitherto), that I might have some fruit among you also, as among the rest of the Gentiles.
Rom 1:14 I am debtor both to Greeks and Barbarians; both to wise and unwise.
Rom 1:15 So, as far as lies in me, I am ready to preach the good news to you also who are at Rome.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Rom 1:17 For therein is revealed a righteousness of God, from faith to faith; as it is written: The just shall live by faith.
Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it to them.
Rom 1:20 For, from the creation of the world, his invisible things are clearly seen, being perceived by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.
Rom 1:21 Because, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, nor gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools;
Rom 1:23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, to dishonor their bodies among themselves;
Rom 1:25 who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up to vile passions; for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature;
Rom 1:27 and in like manner the men also, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves the recompense of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:28 And as they did not choose to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not becoming;
Rom 1:29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30 slanderers, haters of God, overbearing, proud, boasters, devisers of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful;
Rom 1:32 who, knowing the judgment of God, that they who commit such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but have pleasure in those who do them.
